Computer Science is designed to give students the opportunity to develop highly sought after knowledge and skills, whether in the workplace or for everyday life. It gives students a stepping stone on to Further & Higher education courses such as Software development, Games programming and more.
The ICT course at Key Stage 3 provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to access the ICT or Computer Science course in Key Stage 4.
Year 7 and 8 are used to build the skills necessary for the GCSE Computer Science course while also allowing students to develop basic ICT skills which will be necessary when moving on to further education or employment.
